I have extensive experience as a psychotherapist, with licenses in both New York and California. I earned my master's degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. I have over 20 years of clinical experience. In addition to providing therapy, I've conducted countless educational workshops and have facilitated groups for parents with children ranging from infancy through adolescence. My approach is warm and direct.
Testimonials:
Amanda is intuitive and sensitive. She 'reads' the person in front of her and responds to cues in the moment with compassion and patience. I've also been impressed with her grasp of a wide range of therapeutic approaches and literature that helps give perspective to the issue at hand."

"I am a former colleague of Amanda's and have been consulting with her for years. She is calm, compassionate and wise and delivers wholly to her clients. Amanda's insights and guidance are very valuable. They allow her clients to create movement in their lives and develop understanding into the patterns that may be holding them back. Anyone who chooses to see Amanda will be satisfied with their experience. As a therapist myself, I highly recommend her."

"Amanda has been a colleague and friend of mine for almost 20 years. Amanda has always had incredible compassion for human suffering and a way of delivering her insight in a thoughtful and digestible way. She is a supportive and non-judgmental listener, and brings her years of education and experience to every session. I would highly recommend her as a therapist or as a clinical supervisor."

"Amanda is a great find: she is smart, compassionate, realistic and optimistic. She takes her time. If she doesn't have an answer for you, she will think about it, think some more and get back to you with a thoughtful reply. This, to me, is a very good trait for a therapist because we're all layered and we all need time to uncover all of what makes us who we are. I would, without hesitation, recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a caring, reliable and dedicated therapist."

"Amanda was my supervisor at a non-profit in Brooklyn, NY. I found her to be a consummate professional, and hope our paths cross again in the future. Amanda seemed to work to understand me and my particular style. From there, I felt she posed feedback which was in line with my professional level (at the time, complete novice). She has a strengths-based approach which I found particularly helpful. Amanda pushed me to expand my understanding of my role as a clinician and my perspective on my cases. I found our time together to be a very positive experience.
I recommend Amanda to clinicians who are looking for outside supervision. She is a wonderful resource!"
